ALILA RESORT HOI AN

Evoking the spirit of Hoi An, the project is marked by water canals that symbolise the Hoai River as an important generator for the old trade that gave birth to such an iconic place.

These water surfaces, arranged to overcome the different levels, also divide the project into two distinctive parts: The Hotel is a composition of volumes of different heights that are lower next to the main road to hide its presence and provide a more private and exclusive experience and allowing the position of more rooms closer to the sea to enjoy the peaceful sound of the sound waves.

The path leading to the four groups of Villas is flanked by tall bamboo that creates a pleasant tunnel for shading while each villa comprises different landscapes that relate to different senses such as sight, smell, touch and taste.

Divided into three main spaces, the Villas concept is characterised by the wooden louvers that have a reference to the so famous Hoi An lanterns; the interior gardens with tall palm trees that pierce to the roof, bringing nature to all floors; and the minimal use of boundaries to allow great natural ventilation and maximize views to the outside.
